Anonymous-OS, the computer platform is built on top of the open-source Linux-based Ubuntu 11.10 operating system, and it also utilizes the open-source Mate desktop environment.Included are Anonymous HOIC, John the Ripper, SQL Poison and more such hacking tools.

Source forge pulled it off there website due to various contreversies:

Rik Ferguson, a researcher at Trend Micro, told the BBC that the software was “a functional OS with a bunch of pre-installed tools that can be used for things like looking for [database] vulnerabilities or password cracking”.

“The Anon OS is fake it is wrapped in trojans. RT,” A tweet by AnonOps warns.

“#Protip – Don’t use Anonymous OS, we don’t know anything about it and can’t vouch for it,” YourAnonNews concludes.

The author also posted safe results from Rootkit hunter.

Once you download the iso file you can use Universal USB Installer to create a bootable pen drive. Team decoding tested it out  and decided that although the name of the project was misleading (we see no evidence that it is connected with Anonymous) it appeared, on initial glance, to be a simple security-related operating system based on Ubuntu distro and topped it up with Anonymous wallpapers and hacking tools. It appears to be malware free .

The password of the Anonymous account  is anon.

You can check out our video for a feel of the OS:
